COMPANY HISTORYOur company was founded in 1985 as an international freight forwarder and has been operating in Southern California ever since, servicing companies worldwide. In 1995 the company name was changed to the current name of Marushin Group, Inc. Our location in Torrance, California, is the main and only office for M.G.I., but we operate through an international network of agents in every part of the world, enabling us to handle any shipment, no matter where the origin and destination might be.
Our logistics capability was really put to the test in 1997, when we handled a special project from Warner Bros for a show held in Tokyo, Japan. The cargo had to be moved from Paris, France, to Tokyo on an incredibly tight time schedule. Marushin Group was able to deliver the cargo on time without a hitch. The following year we handled another large show project from Universal Studio. In that case, the goods were scattered around the globe, and all had to be delivered to Japan in time for opening day of the show. The project truly tested our logistics ability, but we came through with flying colors.
